- Know the real math and the real numbers of your business.
Knowing your numbers doesn’t need to be as complicated as you may think. The process of keeping an organized simple spreadsheet, which you can review monthly is key. Here’s what that might SOUND LIKE as you review: “I love how this program is selling, but I don’t have enough profit left over, so let’s increase the fee for profitability.”
- Delegation and elimination.
A common misstep business owners make is delegating and eliminating tasks, without looking at their numbers first. When you delegate without knowing your numbers, you may have added an expense, but your business isn’t profitable enough to cover it. Also, if you eliminate hastily, you may have removed a profitable resource that just needed a makeover.
