Meet JessicaMeet Jessica.

Jessica called me up one day and asked for some advice. She is in the process of launching two businesses, that she thought could potentially work together—as far as the content goes. But she just wasn’t sure how to conceptualize and organize it all.

Jessica called me with a list of questions:

  • Do I need two separate blogs for the two separate websites?
  • Should the blogs be on their own platforms, or attached to their respective websites?
  • What content should I write for each blog so I can build a name for myself?
  • Can I use the same content for both blogs?
  • How do I brand my message for each website and start building myself as an expert?
  • Will you help me stay accountable in my content writing?

Now, you might be looking at this list and saying to yourself, “I have had the same types of questions in my business!” And if you are saying that, know that this a very common question for business owners who know that content is necessary to grow a booming business!

[bctt tweet=”All of this boils down to one thing: Do you have a solid content strategy plan for your business?” username=”WritingWhisper”]

Or…are you just producing content “when the urge hits” and hoping it will work? Or…have you given up on creating content altogether?

Jessica knew she needed help. She invested in herself and her business, and we met for a Content Strategy Day. We spent the day going through her questions above (and numerous others!). We laughed. We brainstormed. We ate M&Ms. And…we got all of her content ideas organized.

Here’s what we accomplished in Jessica’s Content Strategy Session:

  • We brainstormed over 75 blog topics for her brand—enough for 1.5 years!
  • We laid out a content marketing schedule.
  • We found the “tough topics” she was scared to address in her industry, and I coached her to be the voice. You’ve got to disrupt the norm if you want to be known for something.
  • We developed a repurposing the content to a variety of other platforms.
  • We talked about proper blogging structure for maximum SEO benefits.
  • We created a plan for dispersing the content on social media, so Jessica can drive people back to her website.
  • We identified a new opt-in that she could offer her audience to help build her mailing list.

Jessica left our session with a solid content strategy plan, with firm publishing deadlines, and with the confidence to write content she is passionate about. She is ready to rock her brand and make a big name for herself in her industry.

Is it time you invested in your business and worked with me to develop a solid content marketing plan? Call me. I would love to hear what you have going on (or wish was going on!) in your brand. We can make content magic happen for you, too!
